16 October 2024 – Hong Kong – Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITPL) applauds the multiple policies outlined by the HKSAR Government in the Policy Address today, aimed at fostering the innovation and technology development of Hong Kong.

 

Mr. Vincent Ma, Chief Executive Officer of HSITPL said, “The Chief Executive has announced the establishment of the ‘Steering Committee on the Hong Kong-Shenzhen I&T Park in the Loop’, where he will personally lead and oversee the development planning of the Hong Kong Park within the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone. This decision underscores Hong Kong's commitment to developing the Co-operation Zone into a crucial source of new quality productive forces for our country. We are fully prepared to dovetail with the imminent release of the ‘Development Outline for the Hong Kong Park in the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone’ by the HKSAR government this year, promoting the development strategies and directions of the Hong Kong Park.”

The inaugural batch of three buildings at HSITP features two eight-storey wet laboratory buildings with a total gross floor area of approximately 32,000 square metres, providing 87 units for research and development usage. Each wet laboratory building will be enabled with Biosafety Level 3 or PRC P3 Lab provisions, as well as centralized neutralization systems for chemical disposal, to address the immense demand for wet laboratories stemming from the burgeoning life and health technology industry in Hong Kong.
